THE BEST OF SUMMER IS YET TO COME…and our Contributing Editor Brooke Marrone was lucky enough to catch up with celebrity Yoga and Pilates instructor, Kristin McGee, to spill her go-to bikini moves and quick tips for staying healthy and fit. Here is what this gorgeous Mom said:
My go-to fitness move is a single leg dead lift or warrior three with toe tap (same thing!) I think it’s the ultimate exercise for shaping the butt, abs and waist.
Single Leg Dead Lift
A. Stand on one leg and extend the other one back straight behind you as you hinge forward and tap the inside of the supporting leg foot with the opposite hand.
B. Come back up to stand without touching the extended leg foot to the floor–repeat 8-10 times.
*Hold a heavy weight in hand for even more burn.
Health and Beauty Tip:
Before bikini season make sure to get some shut eye so your skin, brain, body all can be refreshed and look sexy and healthy and glowing! Drink lots of water but also eat water based foods like watermelon, cucumber, lemons, citrus fruits and gazpachos. Up your cardio activity by adding more to your day in terms of taking the stairs or adding a few more walks in addition to your high speed intervals or fat burning cardio at the gym.
